Greetings,
I hope everyone has gotten through winter and are more than ready for spring. As late winter has progressed I have been wondering how current events would continue to affect our abilities to gather for club meetings and how the whole vaccination program would progress. I am thankful to have been able to have my vaccination complete but I know there are many more individuals to go and it has been a frustrating process. With that in mind I would like to plan our first meeting to be an outdoor picnic, Saturday April 10th, so we can access everyone’s comfort level with the current situation. You should plan on bringing your own picnic or there are a number of fast food restaurants in the area. I have found a shelter house in the Griggs Reservoir park just south of the Nottingham Rd entrance, which is off of Riverside Dr, just south of the intersection of Riverside Dr and Fishinger Rd. Turn left at the bottom of the hill after entering the park. There are five shelter houses in the park so I will stake one out a little before noon. The city has reduced the number of picnic tables inside the shelter house so it would be a good idea to bring your own chairs. Please wear masks and social distance as necessary.
Ted
