COMGO - Ice Cream Drive

Saturday, September 26th, we will have an Ice Cream Drive through the country.

The drive will start at 10:00 AM,  or whenever you wish to start.   This will be an non-assembled drive (on-your-own).  The idea is that you can depart as a group from either of two meeting locations, or leave at a different time,  or if you wish - you can join the route any where which is convenient to you and your navigator.

You may start either at the the Bonefish Grill in Dublin and then finish at Whit's Frozen Custard in Granville.   Or if you wish, start at the Whit's in Granville and then finish at the Bonefish Grill in Dublin.   I will be starting at the Bonefish Grill in Dublin at 10:00 AM.   If you start at Whit's in Granville, organize your own departure.  I am recommending that some start at 10:00 AM or shortly after for those who feel more comfortable traveling with other cars.  The travel distance is approximately 110 miles and will take approximately 2 to 2 1/2 hours, without stops.

I am recommending however that you stop and have lunch and taste the ice cream or frozen custard and to avail yourself of the opportunity to go to a farm orchard or farm market.

If you see other Little British Cars, please feel free to offer a cheery wave !

The general route will be to travel Dublin Road north from Dublin, Rt. 36 into Delaware,  Route 23 (briefly), Panhandle Road to Ohio State Rt. 229 to Mt. Vernon,  Ohio State Rt. 13 through Utica, Dry Creek Road to North Street (Ohio State Rt. 661) into Granville.  Or if you are starting in Granville, it will be the reverse route.   The route directions will include general directions to four apple orchards in the Mt. Vernon, Utica-Johnstown, and Granville areas.

A map providing an overview of the route can be found at the following link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/3agzliht7ljkr5p/Map%20Providing%20Over%20view%20of%20the%20Ice%20Cream%20Route%20through%20the%20Country%2C%20%202020-9-26.pdf?dl=0
