We have put together a drive for September 14th that includes a brewery, lunch at the Old Dutch Restaurant, drive through Clear Creek Metro Part, glass blowing exhibit, and ending at a winery.
The drive starts at Bob Evans 4019 Hamilton Square Blvd Grove Port 43125. Those that want to meet for breakfast can arrive earlier. We plan to leave Bob Evans at 10AM driving to Lancaster to the Rock Mill Brewery 5705 Lithopolis Rd, Lancaster 43130. This was a horse farm converted to a brewery.
We will go to Logan to The Old Dutch Restaurant 12791 OH-664, Logan 43138. We hope to arrive around 12:30 to 1:00PM for lunch.
From there we will go to the Clear Creek Metro Park for a drive along Clear Creek through a very scenic valley. Watch out for the rock overhang. We will stop at the Jack Pine Studio Gallery and Glass Blowing 21397 Slate Route 180 Laurelville 43135. The gallery is full of hand blown glass artwork and we will see glass blowing in the gallery. We will go to the Clear Creek County Winery Amanda 43102. This is a local winery in Fairfield County owned and operated by a classmates of Deb’s. It is very quaint.
This will end the tour we think around 4 to 5PM. The Winery is just off Rout 188. If you head West on Route 188 this will take you to Circleville Old Route 23 that will take you back to Columbus. For those of you that like to explore you can take a multitude of county routes back up to Columbus.
Hope to see you on Sept 14th. Ohio State is playing Indiana on the 14th which is an away game.
All of these locations have websites if you want to check them out.
