Description: 1997 updates included rebuilt brake and clutch master cylinders, new brakes in the rear, new fuel pump, gas tank boiled out and reinstalled, new top, lots of fun getting DPO's butchered wiring back to some sense of normalcy (nothing like driving down the road at speed and the headlights go out).  1998 updates included new rear bushings and heavy duty springs, bead blasted the wheels -- epoxy primer and fresh paint, new tires (I'm easy to buy for at Christmas now), refinished wood dash, new main and rod bearings, new oil pump, new rear wheel hub.  Special thanks to my son Ryan (in picture) for his interest and assistance. Also special thanks to my friend and neighbor Nelson Riedel for his advice and patience with the ongoing saga of keeping a LBC running well.  Ryan and I have put 12,000 miles on this car in our first 3 years of ownership. We love these things. Please note Ryan's new addition this year.

Description:  The car is running well despite the two quarts of oil that must be added per tank of gas (not kidding). The car is straight and solid. My wintertime projects include; finishing the rebuild of an engine, up-rating the rear suspension with TRF's hard rubber bushings and up-rated springs, and also I will be putting a fresh frame underneath it. The car is still drivable and safe, but there will come a day within the next few years that I would wish I had replaced the frame. I have learned so much and am having a blast!! I hope  to have it in perfect mechanical order for this coming summer party, hope to see you all there.
